ĢƵ Staffer Will Present Paper at NCAHEAD Conference in October
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgieann Bogdan, director of academic accessibility at ĢƵ, has been invited to present a paper in October at the annual meeting of the North Carolina Association on Higher Education and Disability at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Bogdan will present, “ĢƵ: A Model of Universal Design for Learning Across Campus.” The paper describes the college’s efforts during the past several years to become a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) campus at the institutional level.
UDL is a framework for teaching so as to accommodate all learning styles, based on scientific insights into how we learn. Originating at the N.C. State University School of Design in the 1980s, it includes such disciplines as cognitive neuroscience.

Bogdan holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at ĢƵ and an M.A. from Wake Forest University. She joined the staff in 2016.
